suicide and mental health

I've seen so many people around me with mental illness; ADHD, depression, bi polar, and a recent event. has motivated me to write about mental disorders and the stereotypes associated with them. Mental health linked to suicide and violence Suicide can happen to anyone. One needn't be suffering from mental health to want to commit suicide. Numerous factors can determine why a person wants to end their life. The mentally ill are more likely to be a victim than an offender. It's the press' fault for empathizing that. Another stereotype is that the mentally ill are poor and homeless. This is not entirely true. In this day and age, many mentally ill people have good paying jobs. The mentally ill belong in a mental institutions. If the mental illness is severe enough that it could cause a person to harm him/herself or someone else, than it may come to the point that that individual may need to be institutionalized. The press makes this harder for people to see the real side of mentally ill. Men are more likely to be mentally ill. There is no discrimination to mental health. The mentally ill are criminally insane. Other factors play into this including how she/he was raised , the environment in which they grew up, whether there were any signs of abuse or neglect in the family. Indicating that there are numerous factors that play in to whether a person with a mental illness will be labeled criminally insane. Needless to say the press has cast doubt upon doubt, on mental illness, this isn't needed.

My friend aly, had committed suicide on April 29, 2011, by means of a knife and pills. Alyessa at 6:30 pm may 2 second died in ICU, she was mentally ill, with bipolar and depression, she was tortured with the fast she was lesbian and being in a religious school, the torture never ended so, suicide to her seems like the only option, as kids she was a peace maker most fights on the schoolyard ended even before a teacher saw it. thanks to aly, but with the last 2 months of aly's life, she starving herself, cutting and doing drugs to escape the torture. but aly and i were the best of friends, and while i was out of the country for a year and a half, she was attacked, further added to the depression. but the days leading up to this event, aly was acting differently, as of she started eating again and went clean but in that effort was futile.
